Dr. Naeem Turner-Bandele is the founder and CEO of Latimer Enterprises, an energy technology and services company dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through people-centered energy solutions. A trailblazing researcher and inventor, Dr. Turner-Bandele develops the digital tools and conducts the research necessary for all people to make informed energy decisions with confidence. This professional success is built on a rigorous academic foundation. Dr. Turner-Bandele holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. His distinguished background includes honors as a Consortium Fellow, a GEM Associate Fellow, and a John & Claire Bertucci Engineering Fellow, as well as the 2018 Raymond M. Galentine Award.
Drawing on over a decade of experience educating students of all ages in STEM, Dr. Turner-Bandele is deeply committed to expanding STEM access and opportunity for the next generation. Through Latimer Energy Academy, he provides students with hands-on STEM education that fosters critical thinking and prepares them for a changing technological landscape.
This drive extends to his work as a co-founder of The League of Extraordinary Parents, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the educational and socioeconomic outcomes of children, and to his authorship of four children’s books, including What Are We Gonna Do Today? and The Amazing World of STEM series.
