Arthur Fisher, Jr. is a public policy leader with experience at the intersection of renewable energy development, government affairs, and community-focused governance. He serves as Public Policy Manager at Grenergy, where he leads legislative, regulatory, and community engagement strategy for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the Southeastern United States. In this role, Arthur monitors and analyzes federal, state, and local policy developments, advises senior leadership on strategic positioning, and works closely with development teams to advance projects while navigating complex policy and permitting environments.
Arthur is an active contributor to the renewable energy industry through his engagement with American Clean Power Association, regional trade organizations, and policy working groups across key U.S. markets. His work focuses on aligning business strategy with evolving policy frameworks while helping developers build meaningful relationships with the communities where projects are proposed.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Arthur serves on the City Council in Chelsea, Alabama, where he brings a practical understanding of how local governance, infrastructure planning, and energy policy intersect. He previously served on the Chelsea Planning Commission and has completed all requirements for the Certified Municipal Official designation through the Alabama League of Municipalities. He also serves on the League’s Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Committee.
Arthur’s leadership extends to several nonprofit and industry organizations, including the Southern Renewable Energy Association, the Alabama Solar Industry Association, the McWane Science Center Board of Trustees, and advisory boards at Samford University. He began his career as an electrical engineer with Southern Company before working as a financial analyst with Spire Inc.. Arthur holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Southern University and an MBA in Finance from Samford University.
