    Alex Klaessig, MPP

    Alex Klaessig is Cofounder and Chief Data Officer (CDO) of Halcyon, an AI-assisted search and information platform. Halcyon automatically collects and organizes troves of energy information from federal, state and local regulators, then uses AI to streamline research and analysis. Data subscriptions package this firehose of information into easy to navigate datasets on topics like Large Load Tariffs, and Capital Costs. Alex leads Halcyon’s data strategy, product development, and research. Prior to Halcyon, Alex was senior director of power markets and clean energy technologies at IHS Markit/S&P Global. In addition to research duties, he helped deliver the world's premier energy event, CERAWeek. Alex holds a BS in Physics from the University of Delaware and an MPP in Energy Policy from American University.
